Writing Background

In high school, I was one of ten finalists in the National Young Writers Contest. I joke that, essentially, I was published at seventeen.
College followed, with creative writing courses to sharpen my craft.
Years later, I found myself drawn into the Portland film scene, acting and working behind the camera.
Film taught me how emotion moves through a story—lessons that carried forward into writing and years of shaping stories meant to stay with readers.
